Offered for sale is what looks like a new old stock OEM Suzuki 17 mag rear wheel that according to part # interchange and a lot of research, fits the following vintage street machines. 78-80 GS1000E EC, EN, ET. 80-82 GS1100E ET, EX, EZ. NOTE: My OEM Suzuki part # interchange microfiche shows this rim as fitting the 79-80 GS1000S Cooley Replica, but I don’t think that’s correct because the Cooley came with an 18 rear wheel. Size stamped on the rim is 17xMT2.50 DOT. Stamped “Made in Japan”. Brand looks like “Enkei” with 3 78, which is probably when it was produced. This rim is shown taking a tube on Suzuki microficher, so is TUBE-TYPE, NOT TUBELESS. We got this from a Suzuki dealer who went out of business over 20 years ago and we were finally able to acquire his inventory. From what I can tell, this rim has never been on a bike and never had bearings installed. There is one small nick on the outside lip or edge of the right side, which probably won’t be seen with a tire on. There are a couple more VERY small marks, surely from laying around for decades. There is no corrosion anywhere I can spot. There are 6 threaded holes that hold the brake rotor, 8mm x 1.25. They measure 78mm center-to-center across the holes and they are 39mm center-to-center from one hole to the next. Brake rotor boss measures 56mm o. And brake side bearing hole is 47mm i. Sprocket side bearing hole is 47mm i. Gotta be some GS nuts out there who have been waiting for a NOS rear rim, well here it is! WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT INSURED.
