You are looking at original Suzuki Candy Jackal blue paintwork for a GT750 J model. Also called Montreal Blue. These have been sitting in a US Suzuki dealers stock for years, and we are lucky to have rescued them! So what we can make out is that there is one tin of Candy Jackal Blue top coat, and two tins of the base coat. This was like a silver coat and then the translucent top coat was sprayed over the top to give the’Candy’ effect. It was called’Candy’, to give the effect of Toffee Apple! There this is one tin with’primer’ marked on it. We have opened one tin of under coat and the the top coat, and it flows around and looks normal. Each of the 3 identical tins were un opened, and have about the same amount of paint inside, as they all weigh around 46 grams. All are still liquid inside. But how good it is after 40 yrs, who knows, it’s your risk. But if it’s usable, it’s the ultimate paint for that correct J restoration, know one can ever say it’s not the right colour!
