Offered for sale is a new old stock OEM Suzuki “new style” crank or crankshaft assembly or kit that according to part # interchange, fits the following vintage 2-stroke triple. 72-77 GT750 J K L M A B SEE FITMENT/PART # INFO BELOW. Old parts microfiche shows the 31835 part # fitment as being for 72-76 and the previous # as 31834 which probably did not come with pistons. Old parts microfiche also shows a 31842 as being for the 77 model and has a note saying it does NOT come with pistons. Computer microfiche shows the following part # progression: 31835 goes to 31842 which goes to 31004. The 31004 # is found only on my OEM Suzuki part # interchange microfiche, and it shows 72-77 fitment. Not sure what’s up with that. According to the instruction sheet, this is a “new type crankshaft” and the first paragraph reads as follows: In the new type crankshaft of GT750, the movement of the con-rod in the direction perpendicular to the stroke is restricted by the limited space inside the piston and the big end support is of floating type unlike that in the conventional construction, the big end is fixed on the crank pin and the small end is floated. This is word-for-word from the instruction sheet. 2 new cylinder studs. 6 small end shims. PLEASE NOTE: Instruction sheet shows a new base gasket being included, but it is missing from the kit. According to the instruction sheet, the base gasket looks like it has a little bigger hole where the 2 new studs are. I did not open up the crank or seal/bushing kit plastic bags.
